A Taste of Tradition
Radosta's community roots began in the 1920's as a neighborhood grocery on South Carrollton Avenue founded by Jerome and Rosemary Radosta. 50 years later, Jerome and Rosemary's son Don along with his brothers opened a local grocery in Old Metairie which quickly became famous for their po-boys along with other local favorites such as jambalaya and red beans & rice. Radosta's became a staple in Old Metairie serving great food and memories to the neighborhood and New Orleanians alike.
Radosta's became a favorite spot for many including local patrons, Rob and Sandy Case, who regularly ate at Radostas for the past 30 years. For Rob, Radosta's was an integral part of his life and a deep-rooted part of the community. So When Don and Joan Radosta decided it was time for them to retire, it was only fitting that Rob and Sandy stepped forward to preserve the legacy of this iconic po-boy spot. Everyday you can catch Rob in the Kitchen next to Wayne Radosta keeping the heartbeat of the Deli going while Sandy greets longtime guests with the warmth and charm expected from a Radosta's visit. To this day, Don and Joan Radosta still come help in the kitchen and front counter to enjoy catching up with generations of customers while celebrating in the food they brought to life.
